STEVENS

Brandi Stevens is a writer-director specializing in introspective character-driven stories focused on women navigating life, love, relationships and identity. She creates intimate stories in vibrant color palettes that evoke a feeling of timelessness. Projecting these stories into a variety of genre formats, she commonly utilizes elements including music, dance, sports & socio-political commentary. She strives to inspire others to alter their view on themselves and the world around them through empathy, understanding and exploration.

A graduate of the University of Miami with her B.S. in Film and Communications, it was there she developed her passion for filmmaking. As a sophomore, she wrote and directed the film Sweetheart, winning the award for Best Picture and Best Actress at the Scares and Scores Film Festival in Miami (2019). Her most recent short film, Impression was an official selection for the Atlanta Film Festival and Richmond Film Network Festival (2023).

Brandi continues to create while gaining her MFA in Film Production from The University of Southern California, focusing on stories that showcase women and people of color in accurate depictions of our lived experiences.

Brandi is open for directing opportunities in narrative film, series and music videos.
